Open Call für TOOLS – digitales Theaterlabor und Festival
TOOLS ist ein digitales Theaterlabor und Festival, das in Zusammenarbeit des Instituts für künstlerische Forschung Berlin (!KF) der digitalen Streaming-Plattform SPECTYOU und des audiovisuellen Online-Diensts Die Digitale Bühne sowie des Theater Rampe Stuttgart entsteht. Das Festival findet vom 14. bis 16. Oktober 2021 statt.
TOOLS bietet eine Plattform und ein Labor für Künstler*innen und Projekte, die an der Schnittstelle von analogem und digitalem Theater, Live Art und Medienkunst arbeiten, und in ihren Methoden und Erzählweisen auf die aktuellen Entwicklungen und Innovationen im künstlerischen und technischen Bereich reagieren.
TOOLS findet hybrid statt. Das dreitägige Festivalprogramm ist digital auf spectyou.com und der Digitalen Bühne zu sehen sowie am dritten Festivaltag im analogen Theaterraum des Theater Rampe in Stuttgart. Im Festival sollen
unterschiedliche digitale und hybride Versuche gezeigt werden.
TOOLS lädt drei Künstlerinnen-Teams ein, in einer zweiwöchigen Laborphase ihre Projektideen zu erarbeiten, weiterzuentwickeln oder umzuarbeiten. Die Digitale Bühne ermöglicht dafür eine virtuelle Ensemblearbeit auf Distanz. Zum Ende der Laborphase werden im Rahmen des Festivals die Tryouts oder Projekte präsentiert. Zusätzlich werden in einem Showcase drei weitere, bereits fertige digitale Theaterproduktionen gestreamt. In einem Workshop können die Künstlerinnen aller sechs Produktionen in den Austausch kommen.
TOOLS sucht drei neue Format- und Projektideen, die mit digitalen technischen Tools den theatralen Raum erweitern, und die Wechselwirkungen von Digitalem und Analogem erforschen möchten. Diese können in Zusammenarbeit mit SPECTYOU oder der Digitalen Bühne entstehen, oder komplett unabhängig entwickelt werden. Alle Genres sind zugelassen. Koproduktionen und bereits begonnene Projekte können ebenso gezeigt werden wie Neuproduktionen oder Tryouts. Im Programm sind sowohl rein digitale als auch hybride und interaktive Formate möglich.
SPECTYOU ist eine Streaming-Plattform für Live-Formate und Aufzeichnungen. Der audiovisuelle Online-Dienst der Digitalen Bühne ermöglicht live Ensemble-Proben und Auftritte über das Internet von verschiedenen Orten aus.
Die drei Versionen digitalstage-web (im Browser), digital-stage-pc (installierbares Programm) und digital-stagebox (erhältliche Hardware) bieten unkomprimiertes 3DAudio mit unterschiedlich niedriger Zeitverzögerung (Latenz). TOOLS is a digital theatre laboratory and festival that is organised in cooperation
with the Institute for Artistic Research Berlin (! KF), the digital streaming platform
Spectyou and the audio-visual online service Die Digitale Bühne as well as Theater
Rampe Stuttgart. The festival will take place from October 14th to 16th, 2021.
TOOLS offers a platform and a laboratory for artists and projects who work at
the interface between analog and digital theatre, live art and media art, and who
react in their methods and narrative to current developments and innovations in the
artistic and technical fields.
TOOLS takes place in a hybrid form. The three-day festival program can be
viewed digitally on Spectyou.com and the digital stage, as well as on the third day of
the festival in the analogue theatre space of the Theater Rampe in Stuttgart.
Different digital and hybrid experiments are to be shown in the festival.
TOOLS invites three teams of artists to work out, develop or revise their project
ideas in a two-week laboratory phase. The digital stage enables virtual ensemble
work at a distance. At the end of the laboratory phase, tryouts or projects are
presented during the festival. In addition, three further, already finished digital theatre
productions will be streamed in a showcase. The artists of all six productions can
exchange ideas in a workshop.
TOOLS is looking for three new format and project ideas that use digital
technical tools to expand the theatrical space and explore the interactions between
the digital and the analog. These can be created in cooperation with Spectyou or the
digital stage, or they can be developed completely independently. All genres are
allowed. Coproductions and projects that have already started can also be shown, as
well as new productions or tryouts. Both purely digital and hybrid and interactive
formats are possible in the program.
Spectyou is a streaming platform for live formats and recordings. The audiovisual
online service of the digital stage enables live ensemble rehearsals and
performances over the Internet from various locations. The three versions digitalstage-
web (in the browser), digital-stage-pc (installable program) and digital-stagebox
(available hardware) offer uncompressed 3D audio with different low time delays
